SOYDEN is born out of eleven non-governmental youth organizations that organized informal forum to discuss most pressing concerns prevalent at present in Somalia.

World Day of Prayer and Action for Children celebrated in Mogadishu, Somalia

The day of prayer and action for children was celebrated in Mogadishu on November 20, 2011. The celebrations were organized by the Somali Youth Development Network (SOYDEN) in collaboration with the African Council of Religious Leaders —Religions for Peace (ACRL—RfP) and GNRC Africa.

Commemoration of International Peace Day 21 September 2011

The 21 September of 2011 SOYDEN commemorated international peace day and the theme of that event was Somali Youth Challenges and the Role of Peace Building.

Actually this theme attracted all participants of this ceremony and there was a debate between youth groups alongside with the speeches of the respectful guests.
